Kathy Doig is a three time graduate of Michigan State University with a BS in Medical Technology, a master’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, and a PhD in Adult Education. She was a faculty member at Michigan State University longer than she likes to admit, teaching hematology, hemostasis, and introduction to the profession. She is a contributing author to 5 editions of Rodak’s Hematology textbook and was editor for the third edition. She has been an active member of ASCLS for more than 40 years and has earned many of the national society’s highest honors including Member of the Year and Mendelssohn Award. She is a past—president of the ASCLS-Michigan and has been honored with Michigan’s Member of the Year Award. In 2013, ASCLS-Michigan honored Dr. Doig again, this time with the inaugural Lifetime Achievement Award.
