Mark Cantelli leads the transportation technology strategy globally for Public Sector. Mark is responsible for establishing the Public Sector transportation technical and technology vision as it pertains to the requirements and direction of the line of businesses products and services. He plays an integral role in the strategic direction, development and future growth of our industries. Working with the group presidents, chief operating officer, agency and DOT chief engineers and product owners, Mark is responsible for determining, defining, planning, developing and coordinating the business strategy and technical architecture (back and front end) for all products and services, ensuring consistency with the direction and needs of the sector. Additionally, he is responsible for monitoring and assessing technology, driving strategic innovation, ensuring project execution and providing guidance in acquisition targets.

Mark has been with the company for more than 27 years, serving in roles of increasing responsibility. Most recently he led the technology group for the State Government Transportation industry, providing transportation system and service solutions. His expertise is well known in the industry and includes intelligent transportation systems, electronic toll collection, traffic management systems, violation enforcement systems and other related technologies. He served as chief technology officer of ACS, prior to its acquisition by Xerox. Prior to ACS, Mark served as manager of engineering at Lockheed Martin and as director of operations at Institute of Electronic Technology, Inc. Mark has more than 30 years of experience in the design, implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of industrial electronics, industrial computer systems, and computer information systems.

Mark has served on the board of directors for both ITS Maryland and OmniAir. His professional memberships include IBTTA, IBTTA Platinum Sponsor Council, ITS America, Construction Management Association of America, Society of Maintenance and Reliability Professionals, International Society of Certified Electronic Technicians.

Mark holds a bachelor of science in Computer Studies from the University of Maryland, and has additional coursework at the Institute of Electronic Technology in Kenner, LA, the University of New Orleans, and the RETS Electronic School, Metairie, LA.
