Recent events have led to heightened awareness of and preparedness for natural disasters and other emergencies. Events such as the 9/11 World Trade Center and Pentagon attacks, both Hurricanes Katrina and Sandy, and other localized incidents, highlight the need to ensure that individuals with disabilities are considered in the emergency planning and response process. This interactive training provides an overview of how the Americans with Disabilities Act applies to emergency planning.
