The facilities portfolio is the most valuable asset that park and recreation agencies manage. It is critical to the organization’s mission, yet agencies often use management approaches from the 1950s in parks and facilities, resulting in challenges with maintaining facilities and parks. Current practices utilize sustainability and total cost of operations as critical factors in management of parks and facilities. This workshop prepares agencies to implement facility-asset management.
