Monday, September 24

Golf Tournament presented by the Indianapolis Local Host Committee

Tuesday, September 25

NRPA Opening General Session featuring Peter Kageyama
9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. | JW Marriott, Grand Ballroom
The conference will kick-off with an inspiring session featuring remarks from NRPA leadership, the keynote speaker and the presentation of the 2018 Gold Medal Awards to the top agencies. This year's keynote Peter Kageyama, author of For the Love of Cities: The Love Affair Between People and Their Places and the follow-up, Love Where You Live: Creating Emotionally Engaging Places, is an internationally sought-after community development consultant and grassroots engagement strategist who speaks all over the world about bottom-up community development and the amazing people who are making change happen. The JW Marriott is adjacent to the convention center and accessible via a skywalk. Shuttle buses will be dropping off at the JW Marriott on Tuesday morning.

Exhibit Hall Day One
10:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. | Exhibit Hall
The exhibit hall will feature more than 400 exhibitors showing off some of the latest and greatest products and services for the field. The first 1,500 people to arrive will receive a special gift!

Student Pep Rally
5:45 p.m. – 7:15 p.m. | Pacers Square at Bankers Life Fieldhouse
NRPA is inviting students to a unique networking event at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse, home to the Indiana Pacers. Come mingle with other future park and recreation professionals and show off your school colors. Those who attend will have access to the NRPA Opening Reception immediately following the rally.

NRPA Opening Reception (sponsored by GameTime)
6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. | Bankers Life Fieldhouse
The Opening Reception is the best place to unwind, socialize and enjoy entertainment. This year, the party will be at the home of the Indiana Pacers: Bankers Life Fieldhouse and will feature two ways to show off your dance moves — in front of a live band or in the DJ room. There will also be Indianapolis-inspired food and drinks, and even the opportunity to get on the court and participate in basketball competitions with the chance to win prizes. Tickets are included with Full Package, Young Professional and Guest registration. From 6:15 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., shuttles will continually transport from the convention center, hotels with NRPA shuttle service and Bankers Life Fieldhouse (and back). If traveling from the convention center, shuttles will pick up outside the entrance on Maryland Street of the Wabash East section. See the shuttle schedule in the menu for more details. Backpacks are not permitted in the arena.

General Session Featuring SaulPaul

At this annual ceremony, we recognize and celebrate the most inspirational people and programs by presenting the 2018 Innovation Awards, Spotlight Awards and the Park Champion of the Year Award. The newly accredited and re-accredited park and recreation agencies and academic programs, Young Professional Fellows, Diversity and Student Scholarship recipients, and professionals who have recently achieved their CPRP or CPRE designations will also be recognized. Thursday, September 27

5k Fun Run & Walk presented by the Indianapolis Local Host Committee

What is parks and recreation without a little exercise? Join hundreds of your peers and enjoy a morning run, jog, or walk along the canal. Includes race bib, post-race refreshments and T-shirt.Register for the 5K here.

Canal Water Paddle presented by the Indianapolis Local Host Committee
